TRD Gaitor Trimming EP82 Help

Anyone got a TRD short shifter for an EP82, and had to trim the gaitor to allow you to put it in 4th and reverse?

If so where did you trim it? Any pics?

I didnt get them mate bought it second hand, ive put a washer over the gear stick to hold the gairtor tight to the gearknob (TOM's Ball Gearknob) but i dont like it like that lol

What the spacers look like? where does it hold the gaitor?

You mean that sit under the shifter where it bolts to the car, ye i got those in, but the gaitor wont let it into 4th n reverse fully.

Just replace it with a leather one mate, had the same problem myself getting into fourth

Duno mate it seemed to bolt down ok

its just the ridges in the GT's gaitor bunch up and dont let the stick move far enough back, due to the shape of the stick.

It dosen't fit perfect but it looks far better than no gator

Are you sure that the short shifter you got is for an ep82 and not an ep91? the ep82 gator will not fit properly with a stock ep91 shifter (not sure about short shifts) this could be your problem, simple solution replace the gator
