Trd lsd not working?

I have a trd lsd 2way ive been told in my starlet. It dont seem to be locking anymore it also dont click like it used to. Im led to believe that i need to strip the diff apart and rebuild it with this kit http://www.rhdjapan.com/trd-lsd-repair-kit-aw101-various-models-62998 does anybody know anything about these diffs and would this kit cure my problem.

i have a trd 1.5 way and it doesnt click at all, 2 way must be hard to get used too with fwd i would imagine ??

when i changed my oil i noticed a nice difference worth a try

My diff could be a 1.5 but was told the weekend at santa pod its a 2 way though. Oil is worth a try i guess. what wt of oil did u put init an where did u get it from. Cheers dude.

Silkolene SILKTRAN SYN 5 75W-90 got it off ecc a trader on here you need two bottles it takes 1.9 litres


not saying this will fix your problem if your diff is broke no oil will fix it but you have to open the box and take it out to find that out , worth a try i suppose

the trd mech lsd is adjustable 1.5 or 2 way yours is set to 1.5 way im sure

It has a cam key inside it. You turn the key to the locking style you want. You don't want a two way on a front wheel drive car.

ya the mechanical trd lsd can be switched between 1.5 and 2 way
