turbo octane boost + super unleaded?!

got some octane boost from local motor place the other day and mixed it very rich with some super unleaded 99 from tescos premiem stuff. anyway drove it for 20 mins then let it have some . picks up smooth but the tone of the engine has changed? ?

would this do any damage?

Octane boosters don't seem to do anything, they just mix with the fuel and most of the time even lower the octane rating of the fuel you've put in the tank. I would finish off the fuel you have and then go and put some fresh 99 in her and take it from there.
