Tyre Width

Currently I have 185/55/15 tyres on my Work VS XX rims.

I need to get new tyres for the front, but was wondering if I would be able to put 195/45/15 on the rims.

Is there any way to see if I can increase the width, or is it just better to get 185's again.

you would be better selling me the rims...lol
id go for 195/50/15
fill the arch that bit better,and saves the rims from potholes.

How do I know if the rim can support 195's?
The main thing I am afraid of is that 195's would be to wide to fit on the rim.

Its currently using the 185/55/15 tyres.
Where do I see the rim width?

most if the times its written on the rims.
Something like 15j x 6.5.....6.5 is the width of the rims.
