Unknown wire?

Hi all, mate fitted the new engine today, there is a single wire with a spade connector under the battery tray that i dont know what it is, when you earth the wire the oil light comes on. Anyone know where it goes please?

have you connected the oil sender? just on the front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold to the right
