well ive tried taking my mani and cat off today to replace them with an ss mani and a decat. but i cant get the old cat off its support bracket the nuts are on there way to being sha**ed. or i need to get the bracket off the block which again the bolts are on there way to being sha**ed. also the awkward nut of the 4 that holds the turbo to the mani also on its way to being sha**ed. i need help desperatly. any advice?

alot of wd40 a bit of f***sake piece of sh** a few fegs later and walla try and use a bit of heat on the nuts with a small blow torch if there rung try and hammer a smaller socket on them they shud give after a wile

i think i'll drill the two bolts which hold the cat bracket to the block and then when i get it off i can get the bracket away from the cat and then i'll just have to use 1 fixing so the exhaust will have support.
and as for the bolt thats holding the turbo to the mani f**k knows im clueless.

try get a hold of a spanner with the same amount of sides as the bolt.Ie the bolt has 6 flat sides so get ones with only 6.Hope this makes sence.

i never used open ended spanners ive got ring ones. im gonna go n buy one the same as the bolt. and i already have a knuckle and extension bar but they cant get in to sort the turbo to mani bolt out. i'll have another crack later. and i have a vaccum tube that went to the efi pipe but i wanna relocate my air filter so what do i do with this. does it go to the hi/lo solenoid?

its just an exhaust pipe mate, block it or leave it hanging,

i got a short think its 14mm spanner on the back on, and gently tapped it with a mallet until it started to move. just gotta make sure the spanner doesnt slip off

this is getting worse. lol ive drilled one of the three bolts that hold the cat bracket to the block, one came off and my drill bit has just snapped into the third. (wounded). ive removed all the aircon bits, but cant get the aircon bracket off the block. and the bolt that holds the turbo to the mani is having none of it! its trying my patience! any ideas guys?

but im gonna end up rounding the cat bracket bolts off and ive snapped the end of the drill bit in one of the bolts. and im gonna get my cat off first and then get stuck in on the turbo to mani nut which is still on.

just invested in some irwin rotor grips or sumat its like a socket that undos rounded off bolts. and now i have the decat off and all the brackets that wouldn't play nice before.

best bet is mate to get a blowtorch heat it till it is red hot and get your grips on and it should come off no bother thats what i do every time i am doing an exhaust but when heating get some gogles as it will be very bright and could hurt your eyes

Doin well dude. Im sure il be on here f***ing and blinding about rounded bolts and stuff later on when i can't do it haha.

decats on but the awkward bolt from turbo to mani is starting to round off and i don't have access to a blow torch otherwise i try that coz that would work a dream. need help lol
