2 wires in the first picture,
The one circled in the 2nd
and the one in the 3rd which is in the same loom as the connections that are arrowed.

no, not as far as i know, dunno if some of these were not connected but im pretty sure the picture with 2 connections were connected to something.

Your first picture looks like the coolant sensor that has something todo with the A/C is disconnected. Maybe Im misinunderstanding what your asking, but doesnt the wire right next to it plug into that sensor? Your other coolant sensors seem to be connected already.

3rd picture looks like it might be a Dumby Plug for a Tachometer test point? I kinda think it might be the same as "-IG" in the Diagnostic Plug as well. I could be way off base on the function of that plug though. Or it might be something to test the ignition with a specialty Toyota tool.

First one, if its the piece of wire that comes from the sensor, its not needed unless you are keeping the air con. If its the plug from the loom, it looks like the oil pressure sender switch wire. The sender is in behind the clutch slave cylinder so it looks like it wont be long enough.
Second one is for the ambient air temp switch, not needed unless you are keweping the air con.
Third one is not used.

I have got the air-con still in at the moment so where does that plug go to that is behind the aircon rad? Also in the first picture the wire from the loom looks like it slots on a sensor like the oil pressure sensor but thats already connected up. Also not sure where the other short wire that comes form the coolant housing goes. If anyone as anymore ideas or can look at their car would be great. thanks

Plugs

There are only 2 wire plugs on a Starlet that can be plugged into the wrong sensor.Every other plug will not fit into any socket other than the one it is meant to be in.What wee John is telling you is 100% correct.

Firstly, the easy one:

wires4.jpg

That's for your aircon fan and connects as so:

These ones to the left and right aren't clear in the pic so you need to take a better image. They should be for MAP sensor, Knock sensor or idle control valve but I'll let you come back with clearer photos.

The brake fluid level sensor connects to the one at the bottom of that pic like so:

Not too sure if this will help you on the thermostat side but it's how my auto GT is connected:

Isnt the plug on the right of my picture for the aircon fan? the other one sits above the aircon rad.
On the other picture i need to know what the plug is that is circled, the ones that are pointed at with arrows are just on the same loom as the circled one to make it easier for someone to find.
And lastly, on in your picture where does the coolant wire go to? I will also try and get some better pictures, thanks.

Air con is not my thing as I have always took it out, but is there not supposed to be a sensor that sits at the front to measure anbient air temp Jay?

On the earlier models - I've noticed a few that don't have that sensor.

Should plug onto the aircon fan mate, if you still have it.
