very high idle all the time

hi just after buying a 97 glanza v and it is running at a very high idle even when warm it varies from about 1500-1800rpm any ideas where to start there's also some sort of greddy boost settings on it not quite sure how it works but two pipes from it go to the turbo actuater and one to the inlet manifold and there's a fitting for a pipe on the bottom of the unit with nothing on it anyone got anything that sounds like this with a bit of info on it!

Check all around the inlet manifold and all your boost pipes for tears,cuts,burns etc.

could be a vac leak so check all pipes as suggested. if the idle is stable maybe try using the idle screw to bring it down a bit?

where is it coming from? could be anything unless you point out where exactly its coming from. driving could be gearbox bearing related

i'm kinda thinking it's the gearbox alright gonna change the oil in it wen i can see if it sorts it out! it 's like starts more wen pulling off easy and gets slightly higher up the revs a little!

cheers lads got the throttle body off and cleaned out, got the revs down to 1000rpm or so alot better would this be close to the average??
