Vf22, VF24 or stick with td04

I've got a good condition vf22 in the garage :)

I think I already know the answer but is it worth fitting to my 4e?or just stick with the td04?

Anyone run one? What's the lag like?

Another option is a vf24 but that's in service on the impreza at the moment, but I'm not above pinching it for the starlet.

Would that be a viable alternative?

We've ran a VF22 on the GT a long time ago, was very laggy when compared to the TD04L, but it did kick hard when it finally spooled :)

Personal preference like most things, we prefer the response of the TD04, and it can still put out plenty enough power to move a little EP shell and make traction interesting, even with an LSD :D

I would recomend the vf28 if your thinking of an upgrade, its a good stepping stone between a td04 and a vf22 or td05.

altho it was 5e i loved my vf28 only changed to td05 casue the vf eventually gave up at 25psi lol

however my mate did run a vf28 on his old glanza and a td04 would deffo have the upper hand on the roads - track however no chance

I didnt think the VF24 was serviceable, apart from blades I was under the impression the CHRA was sealed up?

By in service I meant in use ;-)

Cheers for the input chaps. Was just thinking up uses for this turbo I've got lying about.

vf22 is pretty huge, considered laggy on a subaru! also compressor wheel is fragile. vf24 is the better turbo if run at sensible boost.
