Will it? my td04's smoking before my mapping so need to replace and saw that these are good ball bearing turbos and good for a little more power than td04?

really? is it not ball bearing? i heard the spool would be coming on around 3500 and full by 4000 on 4e?

yea it ball bearing but its still a fair bit bigger, my mate used to run the turbo im running on my 5e at the moment which it smaller that the vf22 and he wasnt getting decent boost untill 4500.

you may get posotive pressure from 3000 onwards but not a chance you would get 1bar by less that 5k IMO

I'm not sure how accurate this information is:

VF22 (Part Number: VB660033) 485 comp wheel and P20 Turbine Housing. Ball bearing turbo.

VF23 (Part Number: VH660035) 467 comp wheel and P18 Turbine Housing. Ball bearing turbo.

VF24 (Part Number: VB660049) 467 comp wheel and P18 Turbine Housing. Non-ball bearing turbo.

VF29 (Part Number: VB660057) 467 comp wheel and P18 Turbine Housing. Ball bearing turbo.

VF30 (Part Number: VD440017) 479 comp whell and P18 Turbine Housing. Non-ball bearing turbo.

VF34 (Part Number: VB660060) 479 comp wheel and a P18 Turbine Housing. Ball bearing turbo.

VF35 (Part Number: VB440022) 479 comp wheel and P15 Turbine Housing. Non-ball bearing turbo.

Yeah i was wrong, vf24 is smallest, has the P18 housing. VF23 has a P20 but matched with the vf24 compressor side

mcleod has a VF34 fitted on his!

Rare to come by second hand and expensive to buy new!

Deffo going to try a 24 on my car as it seems the next upgrade from td04 on a impreza as far as keeping driveability goes, in theory should push 300 too

yeah ive got one just had cams fitted and some other bits done my members garage will get a update in a week or so

I'll be interested to see the outcome. I've the opportunity to lay my hands on a low mileage VF34 for plenty cheapness and so was considering it as an option for getting a bit more go out of the old bus.
