victims of online bullying

now before i start im not aiming to offend people and what not...
heard on the radio the something like 340,000 people have been victims to online bullying. now correct me if im wrong but 5 years or so ago kids were much tougher, now it is shit if u do get bullied at school and stuff it makes ur life shit but how screwed must you be if u feel like your being bullied ON THE INTERENT now i have been laid into for various posts and i thinkin possibly for this one maybe by a couple people but i have never felt bullied.
its hard to explain what im trying to get across but what happened to good old punch em retaliation, every one feels like billy big bollock when all they have to fight is a keyboard, now im pretty sure u can abuse them alot and they dont fight back. i may have not heard the full story but does anyone else think its a bit pathetic and kids are getting softer and so is the country

what is actually classed as cyber bulling thou? surely name calling cant be the end of it cos that would be ridiculous

IMO internet bullying could only happen to those who become hopelessly tied to their social networking sites and forums. The need to be accepted by peers...what a waste. This goes doubly for the internet where people you may call "friends" can more easily hide what they are. Since becoming a manager I've come to fully appreciate that life is not a popularity contest. If your skin is thin (cannot cope with criticism or provocative insults), your wit is weak and your self confidence low someone will exploit that and take advantage of you.

Lifes tough eh? At least you can hurl abuse at people on xbox live for the craic, lol. Can't beat em, join em!

Sure you can always block or remove people you don't like, its not really that hard. I'm sure the government will find lots of new laws to make up, as they are good at making up little laws for the sake of protecting people from themselves.

Internet bullying lol that really does make me laugh, more than likely the geeks that get bullied at school, bully people online, its just one big wicked circle.

ur rite how can you be bullied by sum1 you carnt c there prob 30stone + n carnt even leave there house, if it ever happend to me id arrange a meet in a nice quite place n go cage rage on there arse :shoot: haha

i dont see how any one can be bullied over the internet directly by like msn or facebook because there are ways to prevent contact if you dont want it.

but some people make websites to bully people and thats more severe but you can only get bullied if your seceptable to it !

its pathetic they are just so weak, i enjoy my xbox live action alot but as a kid i was out on my bike playing in mud and i got about doing stuff, but just seem these days kids dont leave there house becuase of things like facebook, twatter, forums, xbox live e.t.c. they are so tied up in there own little world they no experience of the real world, i think its gunna get worse as well

ive seen a massiv amount of so called cyber bullying on this site since ive been a user i think certain memeber on here get a ego boost from being the alpha chav

real world hmmmm.... first things that spring to mind ( drug dealers, knife crime, theft, ectect, maybe kids are safer indoors)

To be fair i think the whole internet bullying thing is perthetic.
People should live whatever life throw's at them. Nomatter what it is!

I think people that are bullied at school go through a lot more than
people being bullied on internet an like we are hearing everyday about the internet stuff you dont hear much about school bullies :confused:

Think the world needs a big change! :)

Really? I know discussion can get a little heated on here sometimes but to class is as bullying? I haven't seen anything I'd consider bullying.

Just because there a are few bad people out there doesn't mean kids should be locked away. They need to be outside getting some real world experience otherwise they'll grow into adults that don't know how to deal with any situation and shit their pants at the slightest problem.

agree completely, they one that are drug dealing and all that shiz are a small minority in alot of places and if kids were to go out and play OUTSIDE then the chavs and chumps would be greately out numbered.

completely agree, personally i was bullied at one of my schools for a while and there is nothing worse, it not always something your doin wrong you just happened to be the closest target when they thought it would be a good idea to terrorise, eventually it got sorted the way it should i gave him wat for and like most bulllies he quickly realised he was not a double hard bastard but a fuckin noob lol

even though school bullies sucked it teaches alot of kids valueble skills on how to defend themselves against verbel or phyical bullies
