thats how mine sounds.
cars going good, gave the engine a wipe down yesterday with some degreaser so its looking alot better under there. all these video's now i'm really tempted to do one this weekend of mine.

have to disagree there.... i think it just feels like an N/A motor with a smoother/equal delivery all the way through the rev range.. you can fell the power curve being very nice and progress but in my opinion a boring feel... much well prefer the turbocharged feel...
The tuned up mustang V8 i went in a couple of years back was an exception, complete animal but thats another story....
I will admit i have had some good fun in my mums minis, shes had them for about 3 years running now.... nice to feel different power from time to time...

pulls like a train! no lag as previously said, doesnt feel nothing like an N/A motor, foot down and your away plus the sound is awsome

i also think the sound is awesome... Pulls like a train? i never disagreed that the pull isnt harsh providing the car is quick enough.... I wouldnt doubt for a second that a corrola with 200+bhp supercharged motor wouldnt pull, i can imagine it shifting pretty well.....
Depending on what supercharger you get as there are types that increase pressure as the engine builds Higher RPM but you also get others were it produces instant full boost as soon as throttle in pushed.....
Generally speaking a supercharged car feels like an add on power to an N/A motor, doesn't give you no where near as much feedback/sensation as appose to a turbocharged motor **providing its a big enough turbo that kicks in how it should**....
But i guess we all got our differences in op opinions
But to prove have a look at some supercharged motors dyno graphs to give a better incite.... You can see how smooth the delivery is on most, very smooth/uphill power, doesnt really change its pace through the rev range "even" applying a supercharger on a Vtec motor(high lift cam) VVTi etc... It still is very progressive, there are no major sudden urges in power..... If anything the supercharger takes that big High lift cam feel away a bit.... more power, yes, more response, yes, and does give more power lower RPM too which the lift cam motor needs help with......
BUT it certainly doesnt feel anything like a vtec, that is extremely mislead in my opinion....

i agree with 3sgte there is no real surge of power from a SC unlike a turbo.
where there is the lag then a nice big surge
thats the exact reason i never went SC on my celica (vvtl-i engine or 2zzge) because i did'nt want to loose the kick from the lift when it finally kicked in, and i would of lost the sound aswell.
but thats only because i dont like the SC whine personally.
There was one video on youtube i liked the sound of though, will try and find it.

but i was under the impression they started low and gave progressive power like 3sgte said,
not like a big kick at top end like a turbo?

Well, whatever people call it a SC, and what would if you even haven't been on a standard SC'ed car. I am speaking from my own experience on my beloved AE101 4agze which I bought it from www.glanza.co.uk (Mark). There is green light in the RPM clock to tell you when the SC kicks in, and it does feel a wee pull whilst it kicks in. And yes, they are different from every car, corolla, Mini, etc. I love to drive one because they are very responsive and you can upgrade them for a bigger one.

big surge, you still get one from the S/C when your foot is down, its just theres no lag, however, if your talking big turbo's i know what your getting at

well i don't know where all this talk about loosing the feeling of the vvtl-i, but i know for sure i feel and hear the difference when it hits 6k rpm, even with my foot flat and sc going.
@ dylan, car is fantastic man, the sc is a completely new feeling from the turbo, power is raw and right there when u want it. u can cruise at half throttle and the sc is off, put ur foot down and full boost is there and it jus pushes u back and then the vvtl-i kicks in and she's jus flyin. ur more then welcome to come here and have a feel LOL
