Video Tutorial playback

Just a thought, I thought it might be a nice idea some day of having a video section for tutorials on modification. There's nothing like seeing the whole thing in front of your eyes.

I understand from an admins point of view this could be pricey so perhaps letting only members access these videos. This could potentially entice more members into paid membership, I for one would be very interested.

For those who potentially would submit videos, rep points could be added by admin, based on the quality, certificed and made a permanant stay if there are of use.

hey mate, great idea :)

we actually started putting some tutorials together for common tasks on the site like how-tos, but they are not finished yet. These will be available to all members as they are just how-tos on how to use the site.

Technical how-tos would be a great idea and will require a body of work from staff and members. We are figuring out a way to get these done and as you suggested a good way to help pay for the cost of hosting and making them would be to have them in a section for paid members.

Thanks. I just thought it would be great, especially for a techical Noob like myself.

Who knows, perhaps even project of the month could be featured with the proud owner talking us through his starlet and what he did with it. Would be a great insight into some of the creative guys/girls on here.

If video playback seems like too big a jump, and I can understand how it would be. Perhaps the addition of an audio section, to give users the feel of what parts will affect the sound on their starlet.

example: all the different types of BOV sounds out there, exhausts,turbos,screamer pipes etc.

These could be 5-10 second audio files that wouldnt take up too much space, and could be used as a teaser for better things to come.

I feel this will be of benefit when we come to building threads for exhaust and dumpvalve reviews. It would be nice to incorporate them into the information.

It comes from my own experiances of searching through you tube trying to find the right dumpvalve for me! can be tedious
