In a nut shell the HKS ones will send false voltages to the ECU for all levels of boost. This means you will be running leaner than normal but if you have a RRFPR and someone who can monitor your AFR they can adjust it to compensate.
The JAM FCD's are clamp types. So for all boost levels below fuel cut it will send the correct voltage to the ECU, but as soon as you go over it will send false voltages. So for this to work you'll need to turn your RRFPR up enough to cover yourself when on full boost, which subsequently means you'll be running very rich off boost and on low boost.
The reason HKS ones get slated is because stupid people fit them to their cars with no fuelling mods, turn up the boost and melt a piston. But if you have a RRFPR and a wideband and can set it up properly, it will be fine!
