We already have them cameras up on every entrance and exit to the town in Maidstone. Been around for ages but yea can see if your car is taxed and insured on there data base.

To be honest I just think they are looking for a xmas bonus to the already increasing xmas fund they have with speeding motorists. By saying your not insured gives them another reason to nick you!

Hopefully it removes some of these Combat Kitted Corsa's from the road with shockingly bad bodykits, so there could be an advantage to this.

Ive worked on projects with these camera solutions in the past. There is a massive difference between what the camera is capable of and what features they actually end up implementing.

A lot of the cameras and the core that drives them can even do facial recognition now but thats of no use to anyone if there is no database to check against.

My suspicion would be that these cameras will merely read license plate details and check them against the insurance and tax databases. Any advanced features are unlikely to make it in to mainstream use without the usual civil liberties groups roaring and shouting and then the media will pick it up and we will all be made aware of what is planned.

Lmao do you really think this is going to happen they cant sort gun and knife crime out so this one aint going to work!

I remember last year getting pulled by a copper for my fogs on and he propper had ago at me till i said while ur stood here having ago at me for 2 fog lights ur wifes probably being raped! Harsh but he was doin my fcuking heading!
