Wastegate pressure query

I have a turbosmart external wastegate and a gizzmo boost controller

Atm i have 4 settings 0.5 0.8 1.0 and 1.1 im running a 0.5 bar spring

Would it be better to stick a 1.0 bar spring in cause after a bar the boost fluxuates a little , would it hold better with a stiffer spring, and will it help boosting ?

The tial 0.7 spring will be perfect Nazz. I run one in mine.

There have been a few for sale lately on the forums.

I also run a 0.7bar spring and it seems to do the job just niceley
I would think the car feels a bit lazy with a 0.5 bar spring in there?

Yeah just a tad slow to build boost when its set to 1 bar lol

You wont be able to run less boost than what the spring rating is but. Are you sure the controller and solenoid are working properly? I ran 1.4 bar off a 0.8 spring for a while with no real problems other than a small spike on a long pull.

Both brand spanking new, its set at 1.01 and goes to like 1.18 so its not massivley out i just thought maybe a higher spring rating would help

I wouldnt like 0.17 bar of pressure put on my nuts mate lol.

No harm in trying it out as you say, but I still think there is a controller issue you could sort.
