Weird knocking

A weird knocking started and oil smoke is bellowing out! Took the sparkplugs out to change to see if it would sort the misfire but one of them was covered in oil and was getting battered with something as the gap where the spark comes from the plug was tight shut and was all battered! All help appreciated!

if the piston is hitting the spark plug theres something seriously wrong i wouldnt run it and get it checked out asap.

Forgot to add, it's like there's a serious build up in oil pressure and it blurts it all out the breather, can piston crowns be bought or is it just new pistons? Cheers

new piston at least and if the piston is that bad that its hitting the plug the bore is more than likely wrecked aswell so you might end up needing a whole engine

oil out of the breather is usually caused by fubbered piston rings or ringlands but if the piston is hitting the spark plug i would say you have serious engine issues.

Not sure what it is or where its arriving from exactly but its a strange banging disturbance from the traveler part over by the headers. It happens at nonproductive..

Piston issue buddy. You would be better of to leave it alone and dont even crank it and tear it down for inspection and repair.

take off the cylinder head and inspect. you might have a warped rod, damaged piston or worse a broken crank :/
can even be damaged/broken camshafts. check the timing belt first.
You can never say unless you remove it. Maybe some debris went in through your intake manifold? Are you running with an air cleaner filter?
If the piston sleeve/bore is damaged you can always rebore it or resleeve it.

Checked timing and it's perfect, suppose I best get stripping!

Done compression test and one was bore was a lot lower than the rest, happened to be the one that was chapping the plug, is it possible for the rings to be wrecked and oils coming through and creating excessive oil pressure? And it was spurting out the breather and burning loads of it with a heap of smoke on down rev but not so much when in boost.

The engines forged and has 75mm I think, pistons! Not sure if 75 is the biggest or can 76's be bought?

I can't imagine oil would do that to be honest. You need to take the head off for a look
