went to look at another glanza today, it is mint but there is a wee patch of rust on the roof above the windscreen. is this repairable or is it a waste of time, shes only wanting 950gbp for it?

how bad is the rust? can you push anything through it?

if its only surface rust it would be easily repairable. you would have to have the windscreen out to make sure it was sorted properly

it look a bit deeper than suface rust, but its not alot maybe 40mm squared. are the roofs on glanzas removable or is it part of the shell?

not removeable mate. its a risk, but the parts on it would be worth that money so if you have somewhere to store it i would just go for it

It would prob repair easy but as said above u would prob need to take the windscreen out to do it properly, as for a new roof u would need to cut out the old one and weld in the new one. PM me where abouts it is if u dont take it, i will :p

easy repair mate, ive seen decent guys rebuild sills/doors everything, if its good & straight, & worth the cash wouldnt cost much more than 300/400 euro to do, even better if you can leave the window in yano

its always repairable mate, all depends if your any good at it. i did a bit of repair work on a old ford. had a plate welded inside off the rust bit, then bit of filler an sand an paint easy work.

get the windscreen removed it costs bout 50e over here an get a good pannel beater to cut the rust out weld in a plate and a skim of fillers an get him to blend in the paint to the rest of the roof cost about 200-250e over here fit the windscreen again another 50e and if you say its mint them you have a mint glanza for less than 1500 pounds ;)
