What boost to run ?

Hi all new to the site bought a starlet month ago finally got it on the road after replacing the turbo was just wondering what boost to run car at currently running 0.6 Bar on a ct9 on a cheap manual boost controller which came with the car more than likely change that in the near future for an electronic one Spec is :

Fmic straight through stainless exhaust with decat uprated manifold apexi induction kit at the front and a hks actuator. Also when I bought the car I found a jam superchip ecu bonus !

Using it as a daily but was wondering if it was okay to raise the boost to around 1 bar. Would this put a strain on the engine as I do not have history on the engine help would be great on more supportive mods or what you are running cheers Phil

It will be safe to run on bar but best to get it set an tuned on rollers to be on the safe side.

Dont a rrfpr with a jam ecu, unless its only a jam fcd, but by the sounds of it is the ecu.

Will be ok with out fpr at 1 bar also stock fuel pump an injectors will be fine

Cheers for the depots Iv got the ecu I had already bought a fcd before finding the ecu so it is useless I think I have the supporting mods for 1 bar but I don't about the boost controller as it's an eBay special !

Get it set on the rollers to make sure its running rite might be worth changing the pump as there pretty cheap. Bet if its the original one its tired

jam surerchip sounds like an fcd to me but if youv a jam ecu the it will be ok at a bar without a fpr yes
