ok i went to look at a glanza today.
to start off heres what is wrong with it.
the turbo doesnt boost properly and the car shoots blue and black smoke under hard accelleration. on low turbo there is only one boost light working. at high turbo there is no difference but the hi turbo light on the clocks are on. it is set up to boost .8 bar but it is nowhere near this

there is oil coming from the steering rack so i would assume the seals are bust.

the car could also do with a f/l drive as the boots are bust.

it needs a new bonnet, back bumper and a very good compound on the paint.

the good side is it has these extras
super dragger exhaust
15" white alloys with good tires
boost gauge
baileys dump valve
volt gauge
turbo timer
induction kit
full clifford security system
racing steering wheel
6x9 speakers in the back
mileage: 75k
nct: 6/11

will it cost much to repair. parts wize???

If thats the state it's in hows it been treated?

Could prove very expensive. As for the boost lights could be an LED which has gone, my third boost lights dead.

I guess it comes down to how much your willing to pump into it and how cheap it is?

i duno mate it sounds like there has b a bit of money spent on it! sound like the turbo seal are gone and my mate made pandy of gt cause sumthing happened his steering rack!!(could also b an excuse for poor driving!:haha:) and spraying a bumper and things dont come cheap either!! u would b very lucky if the 6 to 800 would cover it!! how much is the corolla worth if u dont mind me asking!! just dont rush into buying anything that going to melt ur brain later!! mabe buy a glanza off a fello member, than aleast u know it been well minded!! thats what i done and i got a bargin!! it was mint except a dent on the door and he even went to the trouble of getting me a door for it!!:)

well the corolla is on donedeal for 2500 but si corollas are very hard to get. i can get the bumpers and bodywork done cheap as a good mate of mine is a panell beater and a goood one too. im just wondering about the turbo and stuff. it seams like a well minded car. has a service history also.
the turbo is definately fucked alright because the boost is very poor(below standard.) i want to buy it but im still a bit in doubt

ya was just onto gedis there. he said id get a very good ct9 for 100 quid. the drives shouldnt cost more than 50 quid. steering rack is the problem. its dripping out fluid. seals are probably burst. small whine out of the power steering pump too
@aidan i was browsing through your stuff there. some tasty mods there. might give you a shout if i get the glanza for a few body parts

I think on Lo boost 115bhp setting, it only boosts to one light anyway, thats normal. With the Hi mode selected you get the full boost range 133bhp, and all three lights.

Sounds a bit fucked, would you rather buy a clean standard one than a fucked one with a few mods. Doesnt sound like it has been looked after well, bust cv joints, and bust steering wtf, i'd say it has been ragged to an inch of its life. It could cost you a lot more if there is any internal damage to the engine.

Servicing first then mods second.

its not the cv joints its the rubber pieces before the box are bust and the grease and knuckels are showing

that one in dublin is not my cup of tea. the spoiler looks like poo. i was going px with my rolla with a good bit of cash my way. will know tomorrow what the story. got offered 2300 cash for her too. would be hard to pick up a clean glanza or gt for that much would it??
