boost is down to how much pressure is produced by the turbo and forced into the engine.... also its down to how long the wastegate stays shut under load/boost... an easy way to up the boost is to fit an adjustable actuator.. on a stock setup do not exceed .8 of a bar of boost without supporting mods or you will hit fuel cut

if i put some beans into the intake will that get me more boost lol, na but on a serious note by turning up the boost what excatly will i be turning up and how does this enable more power?

ok so by turning it up it holds the wastegate closed for longer then releases more pressure on the turbo to suck in more air? and does the car map its self accordenly for the amount of extra air then?

as said an easy way is to get an adjustable actuator.. all this does is when you adjust the arm it puts more pressure on the spring therfore keeping the wastegate shut for longer.. ie; more boost

yea i have one already on the car man, i just like to know the ins an out before i start messing with it. cheers dude

yea boost gauge is in to, its safe its at 10psi but am not driving it at the mo until i have everything perfect on it.

you will be aiming for 11psi so.. thats just under fuel cut.. adjust the arm on the actuator one turn only and go for a drive and see what its boosting at.. adjust clockwise one full turn

yea thanks lads, im getting there now i have a fair idea on n/a engines just its my first turbo but it seems handy enough.
