boost is down to how much pressure is produced by the turbo and forced into the engine.... also its down to how long the wastegate stays shut under load/boost... an easy way to up the boost is to fit an adjustable actuator.. on a stock setup do not exceed .8 of a bar of boost without supporting mods or you will hit fuel cut
