took this today:

DSC00261.jpg

has been blowing quite bad, could see if on the heatshield. no idea how long its been like that but i couldnt really hear anything tbh. wonder how much this would affect performance? didnt really notice anything obvious, exhaust didnt pop excessively or anything either!?!?
std mani is still holding up ok, no cracks are visible

most of the way to removing the turbo now. soon have my JAM mani and ported turbo on! got my Apexi filter today too so all this should be going on ready for the pod.

i put it back on and they were all brand new nuts from toyota so was far from bodged. all other nuts on the mani and decat were tight as arseholes

You may have got the nuts from toyota, but you got the wrong ones!:p

You need the self locking one's otherwise they will keep coming loose.

think im going to this time round to be sure. i got a set of brass manifold nuts from work so ill try them and see if they hold up ok! i might keep the heatshield off too so i can tighten the nuts up after everything has heated up and cooled down a few times!

locktite wont be much good with the heat that that gets up to unless there is so super high temp stuff. ill just use proper manifold nuts and some spring washers then just re tighten it after its heated up and cooled down a few times!
