what should the idle be at cold and hot please

Hi all just setting up my new enigne can somone tell me the idle speed at hot and cold please

you just set the idle when fully up to temp. i would set it around 800 rpm

650-750rpm as the book says, but they tend to shake your teeth out at that sort of rpm, go for 800-850rpm should see you fine

may be worth timing your engine first then setting the idle, personally i set mine to 900rpm "warm"

best bet is to set your timing to 10 degrees and idle at 700rpm in diagnostic mode. then when the car is running normally at operating temp just tweak it to what you want so it idles nice and smoothly.
