I've got a 10" Memphis M3 with a Kicker 800watt (400RMS) amp, and I listen to a lot of Dubstep and hip hop and I love it. It hits fast, and can get those rapid beats and also most of the VERY deep lows. 8's are good, and 12's are OK, but no bigger.

If its dubstep you want then you will want an enclosed set up. As it will give you those low down wubwubwubwub's 12" or bigger will suffice. Just make sure you only go for one though. I had these beasts in mine from an old (more powerfull) car and just ruined the handling and I had no boot space left.

If you wana do it properly get 2 subs one for 33hz and them another for a higher frequency then you will want a seperate battery and a better alternator get a headunit with a decent preout , jl audio do some proper good stuff but its not neccisarily sub size , u need to consider the size of the magnet / coil etc

Then awg cable etc Lots to consider if u want a decent setup

If not go halfords do a whole kit for like £90 that will do the job

I'm gonna stick with 10" or better. Sealed box(tighter bass, but not quite as loud as a ported box) make sure you have a good amp, and good mids and highs witha good amp for those as well, or youll just have a lot of bass, and no treble, which would ruin dubstep. This is my setup and I think it works very well.
rears: 2 Kicker 2 way Co-axial's, and 2 6.5" Kicker components in the rear deck
fronts: 4 Focal 4" 3 way co-axial's.
sub: Memphis M310 10" sub in Memphis ported box
Amps: Alpine MRP-F300 for the mids and highs and a Kicker ZX400.1 for the sub.
Head unit: Pontus 7" double DIN touch screen
sounds great, and can get super loud if I want it to.
