Whats the best stuff for taking marks of a white car?

Hello all

White Glanza owners would probably have more knowledge about this. What is the best thing to use when taking marks of a white car that are still there once the car has been washed and dried.

These may have been caused from flying dirt when driving the car. The marks are fairly small but i've given the car a good wash, there is a slight improvement but they are still there.

Any recommendations much appreciated as long as it doesn't damage the bodywork or paint.

Many thanks

Use a fine cutting compund and then give it a good polish with some resin polish

or

you could use Maguires Steps 1, 2 & 3 I use it every couple of polishes on my car
Step 1 - Cleaner polish, removes any mild blemishes in the paintwork
Step 2 - Polish
Step 3 - Carnuabra (or how ever the fuck its spelt) Wax

auto glym super resin polish does a good job.. altho im going to try some of their paint restorer as its a lil like a rubbing compound had it a while just never tried it as SRP seems to do the job pretty well

hi mate
i've got some of this stuff somewhere
is it the maroon coloured bottle that says T-Cut polish for metallic paint
thanks

Mer Ultimate Car polish. Takes almost everything apart from scratches off.

my old man swears by this stuff!

also i used some clay bar on mine not so long ago and it looked the shizz!!

i need 2 do it again or try something new as my car is looking a bit down in dumps due 2 the mess coming from my exhaust due 2 the turbo seals!

** UPDATE **

Having shown the marks to a mate of mine it seems like they are not dirt marks, but those similar to those as if somebody has the black sole of a trainer and scraped it against the bodywork as they went past the car or had a black rubber in and rubbed it against the bodywork as they walked past the car, Not happy at all if somebody has done it on purpose, luckily for them i wasn't in at the time when it was done. If it was dirt then it would have come off.

I've not tried any of the recommendations you guys have mentioned, but it seems like something more stronger may be needed to take rubber marks off as they seem more difficult to remove than dirt.

Any info much appreciated again.

Nope, cutting compound would be fine, just some meguiars scratch x or something, or if its more like tar use meguiars bug and tar remover on it

hi mate
thanks for the recommendation
Does it come in a clear version which could be used on all cars of is there a specific one i need to ask for. Also isn't the meguiars scratch x for scratches and would it be ok to use on and hopefully remove black rubber marks. Don't want to be buying or sold the wrong one.
Tanks

Scratch x is just a cutting compound the same as all the others. I prefer autoglym paint renovator personally, with some super resin polish on top of it.
