Speak to hybrid he`l be able to tell you where the difference is as they tested it!

If i remember right i think they has tested a couple and all came into the higher comp than the older model.

yes we are the mk1 came with a different timing belt cover (silver) and was rumored to have had higher compression than the mk2 (black) and hybrid and co had tested it i beleive and found this to be true

for some reason,mk1s always felt to me,to be the quickest of the starlets,always good going wee things,always with the silver cam cover.
drove 2 and i thought that.

Hang on its not light and dark between them here, the difference is minimal, hardly noticeable when driving.
