where to get thinner shims?

well lads.
going fitting new cams to my yolk and i need to get some thinner shims.
need 8, 2.65mm shims and 2.75mm shims.
where do ye advise going or do any traders on here supply them?

Toyota should be able to supply them.

2.65mm - 13753-16080
2.75mm - 13753-16120

If you have enough thicker shims you could have them ground down to the required thickness.

they arent cheap, dont think anywhere else does them as far as im aware. you might pick some up second hand if your lucky!

Sadly enough either its new ones from Toyota or used ones off someone.
Better get that micrometer out.

A machine shop could take some off your old ones for less than that I am sure.

You could machine them but it will remove the case hardning.
I hardness tested one pre and post machining, and i wouldnt put machine ones in my motor.

No gaurantees of that, but if you have spares you could hit lucky.

went and ordered the new ones from toyota the other days.
should have em by Tuesday and they'll be fitted next weekend as well as my new cams!!

how you going to get a remap for the cams ? will be a bit of a waste on standard ecu
