I did a Motorsport Technology degree at derby uni, I entered uni as a mature student because I wasnt happy with the jobs available at the time.
It was the best thing I ever did but its not for everyone.

I am now not working for a race team like I thought I would be but I am actually teaching secondary school Design and Technology.

(Those who can do, those who cant Teach, lol)

I have finished my degree since August. I went to the University of Limerick and did Biomedical and Advanced Materials. Finding the first job is hard at the moment due to the economic crisis. Its a catch 22 really, they want people with experience but wont offer graduate jobs! My area is specialist to the biomedical industry and in the next week or two I have a second interview with a company in England. I dont want to move to England though! I would rather Scotland!

Thats hard workin and studin at the same time, plus part time jobs are hard to come. Alot of stress.

I use to college at 8am, finish at 4 ish, make my way to wrk for 5ish, finish at 10, get home for 11. Day starts over again, very tiring and get depressin as you have no time in the week beside the week end (they fly by).

Lol i know what you're saying, i go uni during the week in the midlands, friday i finish, rush off back to london to help my dad at his restaurant in the evening. saturday work at a travel money bureau, saturday night back the the restaurant, sunday at the bureau and then drive up back to leicester sunday night.. its been ok so far, but it'll catch up with me sooner or later. good thing about uni is that the holidays are LONG!! xmas is 4 weeks, easter is about 5 weeks. summers about 3-4 months. and during the week u have so much free time, i know people who go in uni two days a week, 6 hours of lectures, crazy. and to think they're paying near enough £3500 for that!

if u do go uni, make sure u have a rich dad, cos student loans arent a alot, and all the loans add up in the end. the student loans company is adding £25 a month interest on top of my £6,000 loan..the worst thing is, my teachers back at 6th form encouraged us to take the loans, as if it was free money and that it'd be interest free. pricks

edit: its not that hard to get a job, job centre is majorly underrated for jobs..and also, end of school holidays are the best time to get jobs, all the students go back to college/uni
