Lovely Job Stu, I'm in for my usual steak in the Wicklow Heather! Cant wait :D

Date is sorted lol. 16th April. We decided to just pick a date rather than loads of people putting name down and then pulling out because it doesnt suit them. Cant please everyone with the date so hopefully this will be ok for most.

Yeah the seat is yours dude. Will have a look at a route man yeah. Thinking of a different route up to the gap and maybe down the far side abit. I know there are some people who have a bit to travel just to get there so not sure how much driving people will want to do. Will sort a few different options out though.

Im open to suggestions folks so let me know any ides you might have.

Also for anyone worried about the roads etc, I will be doing the route myself the weekend before to make sure its suitable etc.

Should we all meet in the industrial estate in Newtown again, and then drive up together or?

Popsy wasnt too happy with the route we went last time :D ..... Theres a large area to pull in and park for a few photo's ontop of the gap, just above the Guiness Lake, thats where we stopped last time.

Keep us updated anyway and let us know the roads :p

yeah so i heard, not good lol, thankfully that was nothing to do with me. Will probably meet there man yeah,. Just thinking of a diferent route from there up to the gap though. Really think the lads would love the Laragh/Rathdrum road... but not sure how to incorporate it as it will be a longer spin to get to the gap but im up for it. Will look into it though.

I'm liking the sound of that... if we are going to Laragh for a bite to eat, we could always spin over the Rathdrum road for a bit.. No doubt the Madman would love that road!! :D

Or we could all go to Baltinglass to our chipper for food haha.. :p

Anywhere round the lakes of Blessington for photo's or would it be too far?

Last time there was a detour at the beginning that forced us on to some popsy unfriendly roads to get back on track. The final route saw a number of members run into difficults which all added to the day.
Fire up an initial route from google map Stu...

That route looks the job... Newtown to Rathdrum... Rathdrum to Laragh Via Nice Hump Back Roads :D.... then across the gap into Hollywood.

Wont take us too long to get to Blessington from Hollywood, get up for a good few pics over the lakes, then back to Laragh or somewhere for a bite to eat or where you planning on stopping for food?

The roads should be Popsy friendly this time :p
