wierd noise when i let off

im getting a wierd noise when i rev to like 3.5k when i let off to change just before my bov dumps im hearing a short wierd noise sort of like a grinding noise
any ideas what it could be?

could be something to do with your gearbox? was in my mates pug today and he has a similar problem he recons one off the gearbox bearings has gone?

sounds gearbox related to me mate...my non-turbo made some very strange noises on let off due to the box being fudged.

ok so i have just been through this with my own car....

have u recently had the flywheel off???

or something like that????

worked around that area???

if so check ur flywheel bolts as everyone of mine had come lose or sheared off thanks to a dodgy workshop putting the old ones back in..... then when i put the new ones in and torqued them up i snapped one clean in half.... grrrrrr not to happy at all

i havent personally been near the flywheel but ive only had the car about 2 months its very juddery when starting of in first though.
