wiring on smoked boost gauge

hi ive just purchased a boost gauge for my starlet ep82(quad headlamp) and ive got the wires onto the under bonnet lead but i am strugling to wire up the in car wiring onto the back of my stereo(which i found out you could do on here) i have a black(obs ground) a white? and possibly a red cnt remember fully but ..the black ground is going on my ground from my stereo and the other 2 ime not sure where to put one must go onto my remote cable ime guessing due to that coming live when the ignition is on !! but does the other go to my permanent live ?? .....

if this helps ive got extra wiring if anybody nows another place to wire this up to instead of the stereo ?? thx (agen) neal
