wot dump valves are good?? as standard one seems better than forge one? read on VVV

hello have had a forge dump valve but when i fitted and when givin it some the revs dont seem to stay up as seem to much air comin out of it so put the standard one back on as this dont lose the revs???

any ideas??

did you buy it brand new?, have you tried oiling the piston, might be dry and getting stuck open allowing boost to constantly flow?

What BOV is it exactly? Forge do a spring set for the one I have with softer/harder springs so you can tune it to open at different pressures.

Do you mean your losing more revs on gearchange?......

yes i mean this as when changing gear quickly the revs drop off quicker than the standard one ..

have now sold the forge dump valve due to it feelin total poo...

That will be because the dv was set too soft. It dumps all the air to atmosphere so there is very little pressure in the system. With the standard recirc valve the air remains in the system so even when changing gear you retain some boost pressure in the inlet pipes meaning when you open the throttle you get less lag.
