write off categories

can anyone tell me the difference between cat c and cat d write off please thanks

cat A = total loss that must be destroyed and it cannot be used for spares,
cat B = total loss can be used for spares,
cat C = Write off which can be raipaird but will reqire a VIC check and a new M.O.T
cat D = uneconimical to repair by insurers but can be driven (dont think a VIC check is needed)
