Yellowing headlights

Hi, The headlights on my square lamp gt are after turning yellow. I think this is a common problem with the mk1 and mk2s. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? can the lights be cleaned or do they have to be replaced?

if its just on the outside of the lights then some plastic polish like meguiars plastix will sort it.

You can also use Novus products, they are great!
You can find a 3 bottles kit on ebay for 15$
(but you can just buy bottle no.2 and do a good job)
