Glanza EP91 Oil Pan/Sump - Is It Baffled?

OK, I was guessing they are not, but others have told me they are?

However, the ZEP modified baffle is the stock pan which has been modified. So, have they baffled it or have they made adjustments to the existing baffle?

Info from RHD below.

1 question - It says to clean the baffle when received. Is this with any special chemicle at all?

There are not pictures of the inside...ZEP have told not to show them.

You are viewing a Brand New 'Modified Baffle Oil Pan' by the circuit and Starlet specialists, ZEP Racing.
The item was developed with ZEP's vast knowhow on the circuit and refined with test and error development on the track.

This unit is very important for when you are running your engine hard and pulling G forces above normal driving as it will keep the oil around your pickup so your engine will never be deprived of oil. It will help keep blowby gases down and comes highly recommended when if your oil pressure tends to drop when cornering.

As this item is the OEM oil pan which is modified/welded by ZEP, it is recommended to do a final cleaning on the inside of the unit after receiving it. *We have been requested to not show the inside of the unit (baffle part) by ZEP.

Yea, it should be easy to have it done local welding shop. You just need to know whats the best way to do it.
Ordering a new one sounds crazy to me.

So, does anybody know how to baffel a sump?:)

Yes, BUT...ZEP have done track TESTING with their design, not just welded some plates here and there.

Wouldnt bother Gee. I never had any probs round corners with oil. Its better if you take care of your fuel tank mate. Cause lots of problems for me. After I get the scooby I might be gettin a fuel cell for my car.

Cant say I did at Donnington either. Just being a bit cautious, dont want my forged engine getting starved and blowing up!

I have removed my sump, but don't know what i'm looking for, can someone shed some light on what is standard in the sump and what a buffled one will look like ?

the stock baffling plate is the plate that has a hole that roughly fits the shape of the oil pickup - the Zep Racing and other baffled oil sumps will have little plates welded on the base of the sump and perhaps onto the sides in a specific pattern (like a row of them) - all they do is keep oil localised around the oil pickup, so the pattern would suit accordingly.

I'm pretty sure Oil starvation is what killed off my 5E-FHE the first time round, there was one particular corner at Lydden Hill circuit - full throttle, very heavily cambered, quite fast, and quite long - and being a relatively hot day, and taking that corner typically at the very top of 3rd or 4th (forget now)...it MAY have caused the damage...
