dave, are all the torque settings in nm? or lb/ft? 590nm for engine mount seems a bit.. out of my reach :) almost lifted the car when torquing down the front suspension at the hub and that wasn't even close to 400nm :D

sorry to bring an old thread back up but no point starting a new one.

That says you don't need to renew the headbolts? I was told you do and you don't.

So whose right?

i wouldnt worry too much about them. just do them tight, add a bit of locktight to be sure. some things have torque settings but they arent really necessary.

I'm not worried about them coming off, I think I did them too tight last time - I can't get the bloody things off.:p

if the thread hasnt gone and the bolt hasnt sheared then its not too tight ;)

get a breaker bar on them, that should get them loose, thats what i use as im a weakling.
