Yeah I changed knock sensor and it got better, light went off but still runs shite.

Sorry never replied, not online much, turns out the live wire on the alternator was slightly bent and earthing off the alternator itself!

Could alternator be f*cked? I disconnected the alternator and starter motor today and pulled them back and there's no cut wires or anything? Could alternator be f*cked?

have alternator and starter disconnected at the moment to look at the loom to see if any of it's melted but it was perfect. I'll get pics in a bit.

Yup even changed for a good battery, I disconnected two connectors down by the ecu to isolate the problem, also disconnected one in the fuse box by the engine bay. Connected the two inside ones up and the alternator fuse blew.

110% double and even triple checked.

Never knew they were a live? But they're bolted down good and tight. Where do they get there feeds from? Need to know did anyone run in to this problem before. Nearly going to give up at this stage.

There's a supercharged 4efe build over on TOC - IRL in a cynos atm! Worth a look! Only in the first stages but it's a very good little project.
