hi peeps could a pcv valve replaced in april last year fail within a few months?

Evening all,to thoughs who know a bit about these cars,i have an auto ep82 and i was wondering what the little red button was for on the plastic surround at the base of the gearstick?:confused:

I have a saxo vtr daily driver that gets thrashed everywhere,a nissan pulsar gtir that ive had that long its become part of the family (the missus will be sold before that) and the ep82 gt thats for sale,i fancy another 205gti or a clio 172.

Danza read my first post again,do it that way,then you dont have to mess about with your rocker cover,it works fine on my starlet gt.lf im wrong then surely it wouldnt run/work right.

The catch can on mine is a sealed unit,i also have a filter on the left outlet on the rocker cover,ive had no problems so far.

With the pcv valve in the stock position you will suck oil into the intake manifold,only blowby gasses will be sucked into the intake manifold if the catch can is positioned lower than the pcv valve any oil will stay within the catch can.

Leave the pcv valve in and run a pipe from that to one on the catch can,then run a length of pipe back to the inlet manifold from the other outlet on the catch can.should work a treat.

White smoke Did anyone solve there smoking problem.:confused:

has anyone solved there issues with the white smoke,any pointers,the last post before mine was back in october so am sure someone has figured it out by now.mark1991 you said it was the turbo,have you changed yours and did it solve the problem.

gt for sale Black gt,m reg,automatic,will be having a replacement turbo in the next week or so,just had a new exhaust manifold as the last one was cracked there is a few mods,japspeed front mount,blitz airfilter and relocation hardpipe to in front of rad,hks adjustable actuator,greenstuff break...

Boost leak,faulty injector,poor spark,just a few ideas if it helps.

Afternoon folks,there was no oil in the intercooler pipe or the old cast manifold,so im thinking now that it may just need a new turbo and do a compression test to be sure its not the head gasket,i will let u all know how i get on.
