Oh yes, my old alternator destroyed it - everything replaced and bridged the connection and everything is fine. Granted the bridge was a wire, but it held fine for a test and didn't heat. Not running it like this, I am needing the fuse before it goes anyway!
something wrong with alternator? my car actually came designed with 100amp but since the gt did have 80amp we fit that and never had any problems, it could be a short circuit or something
my mail fuse (100A) looks a tad different from what i've seen on those eBay links - mine is bolted down to the fuse box.. but my chassis is the ep91 so maybe that's why..
Mine is EP91 so yes, it is bolted in. This looks about right, I assume I can pick one up from auto factors / Toyota - this looks about right, it was the cause of the DOME fuse kept blowing as this one had popped.
