15*7" offset

Hello,
I know 15*6.5" recomended offset is et38, but what is recomended when using 7" wide ?

what do you guys use ?

40 or 42 would be ideal with 7".
I had 7" wide wheels with 38 and that rubbed sometime's.

I think i had 195/50/15.

I've got 195/45/15 on my car. Minimal difference between 100 km/h on the dials and your actual speed.

people recommend 42 but 35 will give you a slightly wider stance. Might need to roll the fenders for that though.

et40 sounds perfect then. I would love to be sure that et42 doesn't rub inside.
I'm thinking of 205/50/15. I think they should perform better on 7" than 6.5" . what do you think ?

Mine are 15x7 but don't know the offset,with 205/50 they rub on full lock inside.

what does the tire rub against.

have tried to remove one wheel and check inside where struds are ?

Ah I see, it just rubs on the inner arch, the actual metal bit - I could see the shiny bit where it had been scuffing. I'm going to put 195/50's on them soon (their not on the car at the moment) as the 205's seem to ballon out quite a bit, so I'll see if that makes a difference.
