Im currently on my 4th starlet lol keep going back to them :) which wheel size is better?? On my last starlet i ran 16x7 rota rims which fitted nice, but from looking through the form i see most of u run 15s why is this?? Im building a track starlet and unsure what size to go for?? From what I've seen ill be running a 195 50 15 if i go for 15s or a 195 45 16.. What set up do u think is best??

i think 15's look much better and find any bigger than that kills them and with 15's you will be able to lower it more gettin better handleing

15" wheels will provide a wider scope for suspension and geometry adjustments and allow you to fine tune the handling without being limited by the body of the car. However for a track car the front brakes are a very important part of the setup and 15" wheels may limit the size of the front brakes you can install.

Personally I would stick with 15" wheels, but look at which wheels are compatible with larger front brake discs and calipers. The minimum size of a front brake disc for a track Starlet is around 275x25mm, anything smaller and they'll overheat quickly and cause severe brake fade. Not all 15" wheels will be compatible especially when looking to fit 4 or 6 pot calipers, so decide on the front brakes first and then research which wheels will fit over those brakes.

this . . . 16s for show but nothing else. get yourself a decent suspension setup and 15s and you will be onto a winner. im running 15inch rota grids with d2 coilovers on my gt and i can have it pretty damm low if i wanted it to be (i know this is what a lot of people worry about!). im even using a soightly lower 45 profile tyre on mine too.

another note would be that the tyres are cheaper to replace. if your seriously tracking it its something worth considering
