Wich one? pre 96 have bigger conrods post 96 have tiny conrods

there is a thread on this from years ago whereby one of the members, I think took to a machinist, and done tests on the strength, the result was actually the later rods were stronger due to be being made by a more tensile material, regardless of thickness.

But to answer the original question, providing it is a good tune, it can be a very strong engine, health dependant of course, I am sure I read somewhere the Jamaican lads have over 300whp on stock internals.

Its a simple design but one which is very strong and yeilds good results.
I believe the only physical drawback is it not being a true twin cam design and having a single driven valvetrain.
The only other drawbacks are down to the ignition system being a distributor and engine position being taken of the cam but this is expected due to when it was produced.
Others are the exhaust system(3rd runner), Turbo design but these are usually changed in time so dont matter so much.
In short its an epic engine and I cant think of many others from the same era and dsiplacement that can perform aswell.
