5e smoking AGAIN!!

but is it good to run-in an engine??

..all i can say is i know of 2 5Eftes and 3 4eftes been run it with it using the usual oil change schedules.......and no issues ever....these engines are now 2 - 8 years old:cool:

but if others prefer to use mineral and thinner oil, then they should,,,for piece of mind....this is just one of those things like "which way to run in"....there is no one solution:cool:

Before you built this new engine did you blow your last engine up?

Could be that your exhaust still has oil in it from when your last engine was knackered and it will take a few hundred miles to completely clear.

Nah my old engine was fine. The build is 2500km old (dont know how many miles). I guess I can change my oil.

Question: So even if there is no oil in the intercooler piping where it connects to the intake manifold, there is still a chance it could be the turbo slowly going?
