5efe Pistons in 4efte

I have a blown piston, piston no.1 but here oem pistons for 4efte are not available
there are only 5efe pistons, i found a set of 5efe pistons which haave no dome and no dish, would these pistons be able to handle 1.2 bar boost as same as the oem 4efte pistons does?
anyone here running 5efe pistons in 4efte ? need help! :confused:

1.2 bar no chance more like 0.8 also your region has probly low octane feul so needs a very good map ????

Putting 5e pistons in will just make it a 4EFE with boost.

You could skim the oem 5e pistons down so they were flat top. That would give you more chance of running 1-1.2bar.

here the best we have is just 94ron! , those aailable 5e pistons are already flat same as 4efte one but they don't have dish like 4efte oem pistons have, i don't want to blow pistons again and again! it would be helpful for me if anyone here runing 5e pistons on 1bar-1.2 bar ! is there any other option ? like i know some people here running honda pistons in 4efte that too on 1.3 bar, that too for a long time...

I think what lukep is trying to say by suggesting that you shave the pistons slightly is to reduce compression a teeny weeny bit..

yea i got it but i was getting those 5efe pistons those were flat, no dome at all and no dish too, so there was no need to shave them! but shaving them is like u r boosting a 4efe, well, now i've got piston taken out from 4efte!
 
right now im running bone stock! collecting all supportings mods before going 1.2bar, so stock ecu at the moment.

it can be done with 5efe pistons IF you can get it tuned properly (ignition and fuel) via a piggyback or standalone
but i'd recommend a turbo upgrade and not a ct9 if you were to use the 5efe pistons

You can buy 1st generation 5E pistons with Hastings rings and go for 1.2bar no problem.
Without skimming the piston you can expect a rise of 0,5+- in the CR
Also going with the 5E pistons you can get a fresh rebore at 74,5mm :)
But a good stand alone management is a must :)
