Just swap the rings over, hopefully you or he still has the old Toyota CV joints?

You cannot buy the rings from Toyota as they come on the joint only (which is sold with the driveshaft).

Dave B and Camskill sell the correct CV joints with rings if you need to go down buying new ones again.

yeah i was looking at the parts list and i couldnt see the rings themselves.nope,the old cv joints are gone now.like i sensor cleared and i was ledft with code 31 then after another drive 32 and 31 were dowing.i think i might just pop them out and clean the rings gently with a wire brush

havent got the old rings so its going to be new joints now

You wont see the rings listed as a part themselves, they come as part of the CV joint.

Any chance you can get him to pay for them since he fitted them and threw away the old ones, as you would get the ABS light on within metres of driving when the sensors detect no rings or incorrect ring height/size.

Its crap I had the same problem, but I always keep the old parts "just in case", worth asking for the old parts back in future, can come in handy.
