ABS ring check

well i got the 2 cv joints replaced by a local mechanic and the abs light has been on constantly.i was wondering if there is a handy way to check if there is a abs ring on the joint.just thinking he might have got non abs cv joints

take off your wheel,and if you can get the sensor out,youl see like little splines

or if the car is jacked or on a ramp just take a look at the cv joint (where it meets the hub), there should be a toothed ring on the outside of it.
