Hey guys, the parking brake light and battery light have both been simultaneously illuminating when I start up my car for the past few days but they always turn off after the car runs for a few seconds. Today however they stayed on and then when I stopped at a light the rpm's would go up to almost 3K at neutral idle??? I'm pretty sure the alternator must be going out, but would that cause the car to rev higher at idle?
