Another Problem!

Recently i had to replace my glanza engine, i put in an ep82 engine and i believed that i had swapped over everything needed. i was driving the car to the mot station today keeping a steady pace then it lost power?!?! i put my foot on the clutch to try and go into a lower gear but by that time the engine had cut out. then when i tried starting it again it would struggle then start but only up to 200revs then it cut out again. Any ideas?

Check to see if any fault codes have appeared first. You can do this by putting the ecu in diagnostics mode.

It's possible the ignition or fuel system is at fault, but thats just guessing.

it has one of these weird apexi safc things in it, but its this one:

and from speaking to mark@cmbautos he seems to think its this that is causing it to run lean and rich in different rev ranges.

It is possible, how long did the car drive before it loss power?

I'd check the spark plugs to see if they have gone wet to confirm if the afc is overfuelling.
