So,finally no one answered the question of how the ride comfort is related to the "shakiness" of the engine mounts.

someone must know. car is just sitting there with an engine brace on waiting for a mount. will get a single mount to get me buy, but if the shakiness is unreal i may splash out on a new stock mount or something.

someone please answer

if it's a nice quiet ride your after, stick to rubber mounts, there is hardly any movement in the engine now but the clutch feels so much better to, no give in it.

the poly mounts are fine when your driving, but on startup and sat in traffic they are damn rattley

problem is. one new rubber mount costs the same as the set of poly mounts. im only changing one for polyurethane on mine. the drivers side one

would it matter then that you had a lot more give in the other mounts but not the drivers side one?
you cant see the state of the mounts until you get them out, all mine were f**ked,

ive hoofed mine about on an engine brace while using a pry bar and the rear gearbox mount is fine. i havnt check the front gearbox mount yet though.

might just get the set and be done with it. can get the one done i know is completely bollocks then go from there.

it does seem to be the drivers side mount that takes the most strain so an uprated mount there may be fine

upto you, you could always change that one and see how it goes and take it from there

they want about £33 for one delivered. may as well get all 3 for £70. as il be pissed if another one goes and i need to shell out £33 again

Sorry if this is dumb question, but they wouldnt do any damage if they were super hard would they?

I had poly engine mounts in my gt,made the car so 'rattley' but shifting is such a pleasure....engine hardly moves...i think that for people seeking comfort and upgraded engine mounts then the TRD ones should be ok.

So did you find it make shifting gear easier?
