Anyone running Denso 440's

By the looks of it 23250-42010 is a low impedance injector, so you'll need resistor packs if your wanting to use them with a stock 4E ECU. No sure if the 4E connectors will plug straight on those injectors, you may need to file the lugs off to get the connectors to fit.

You'll need a resistor pack, if you plug those injectors straight in they'll burn out the injector drivers in the EM. Either make your own or find a resistor pack from another car that runs low impedance Denso injectors.

IIRC the lugs on the side of Denso injectors (the connector part where the plug pushes on) differ between high and low impedance injectors, this is to prevent a low impedance injector being accidentally used in place of high impedance injector. Try to plug one of the 440's into one of the injector connectors on your engine harness and it should be obvious why they won't fit (basically the lug on the injector won't line up with the slot in the plug).

You've a couple of choices, either file off the lug on the injectors to allow the plug to slide on, or buy the correct plugs with wire tails and cut the old ones off and wire in the new. Personally I would mod the injectors rather than mess about with the wiring, the last thing you want is a fuel injector wiring issue that results in a blown engine.

Or... find yourself a late 3S-GE powered Celica or MR2 and rob the 370cc injectors out of it. They are a direct fit, no mods required.
